Craig and Paula Curtis started with 3,000 lights and over 28 years have grown their display to 30,000, long known for covering the home's roof until the lights moved off the roof in 2024. Paula adds a new 'misfit' decoration each year, and the lights run from Thanksgiving through Christmas.
Best time to arrive. Sunset in Overland Park is around 4:58 PM in mid-December, fully dark by about 5:28 PM. A typical December night here bottoms out near 23°F, so dress for standing around outside.
