What this guide does that a list doesn't

Most Christmas lights lists are a pile of addresses. The useful questions are which ones are near each other, what order to drive them in, and what time it actually gets dark. So we work those out.

These have enough displays close enough together to make a planned circuit worth the petrol.

Looking for a drive-thru light show?

Ticketed drive-thru trails are the easiest way to see big animated displays from the warmth of your car — and the only realistic option in bad weather or with very small children. Browse drive-thru Christmas lights →

Visiting someone's home

Most of the displays here are private houses whose owners put them on for free. Dip your headlights, keep the engine and the music down, don't block driveways, and take your rubbish home. Displays get shut down every year because of the traffic they attract — a bit of care keeps them running.
