Since 1992 the 23 homes on this double cul-de-sac in the Terrace Place subdivision have decorated with one coordinated theme, giving visitors the feeling of driving into an enchanted forest. Founder Cindy Lou Corley began the tradition by handing lighted candy canes to every home, and neighbors have carried it on since her death from breast cancer.
Best time to arrive. Sunset in Overland Park is around 4:58 PM in mid-December, fully dark by about 5:28 PM. A typical December night here bottoms out near 23°F, so dress for standing around outside.
