Lenexa strings thousands of bulbs through Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park each winter, and the collection of lighted trees ringing Rose's Pond reflects off the water for an evening stroll. The 2024 lights went live December 6 and remained on nightly from 6 to 11 PM into late January.
Best time to arrive. Sunset in Lenexa is around 4:58 PM in mid-December, fully dark by about 5:28 PM. A typical December night here bottoms out near 23°F, so dress for standing around outside.
